Congratulations to Memorial Health Championship Presented by LRS for being chosen the Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce's Member of the Month for June!
The Memorial Health Championship Presented by LRS is a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event on the Korn Ferry Tour. The tournament is held annually at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield. This four-day, 72-hole competition features 156 players from around the world vying for a total purse of $1,000,000.
As the path to the PGA TOUR, the Korn Ferry Tour features some of the most talented professional golfers who are ready to compete and win on golf’s biggest stage. Since the inaugural year in 2016, the tournament has experienced tremendous growth with an estimated attendance of 20,000 for the week and over $5 Million dollars in economic impact for our area.
“What a special honor to be recognized in this way,” said Tournament Director, Kate Peters. “We value the partnership of the Chatham Chamber of Commerce and look forward to welcoming all members to our Networking on the Green event scheduled for Thursday, June 27th. We’re very excited about this year and the outstanding golf talent showcased right here in central Illinois.”
